First time to Ocean Park
Dear Naomi,
We took for the first time to one of our favorite places....Ocean park. We plan on coming here a lot with you, but something tells me you won't mind based on how much fun it looked like you were having :). And another great thing was that your first time here was also Momma's birthday.

Grandpa Tolik
Dear Naomi,
Grandpa Tolik came to spend his Birthday weekend with us and we were so lucky and happy to have him around. Two birthday's in one weekend!! Mama and Grandpa :)
To put it simply, Grandpa has magic hands with you. I had not seen you be so calm in someone else's arms other than your mama. He really has a special way with you and he has taken every opportunity to just be with you. The both of you gave us some pretty special and funny moments of laughter as you took turns smiling and laughing at each other. I swear it's as if the two of you were having a conversation that is only reserved for Grandpa and Grand daughter.
We thank Grandpa Tolik for spending such a wonderful weekend with us and for making Naomi laugh and smile only the way a Grandpa can.

Looking through your eyes
Dear Naomi,
Watching you catch things with your eyes and then reacting to them with a smile of excitement, is like experiencing a small little miracle. It's as if I too am seeing things for the first time. It sometimes slips past us just how amazing the world around us can be. Seeing you experience this daily as you see new things, or maybe just a familiar shape you saw the day before and you've decided you like that shape, is just inspiring. There is no better way to be reminded of how amazing the world is around us than having you show us.

Great Granda Liuba & Grandma Kat
Dear Naomi,
You have had a wave of family and friends that have come from far and near to see you for the first time. We have been thankful for everyone who has made the trip, but there was one inparticular that I really could not wait to see with my own eyes. That of course is seeing your Great Grandma Liuba holding you in her arms. Grandma Kat came into town with Liuba to stay with us for a few days and you could almost say that they came to visit 3 babies since Mr. Q and Olive were so eager to steal them away for attention.
It was beautiful to see not just more family in your midst, but seeing 4 generations all together was really special for all of us.
Everyone had the special time with you, and although Liuba couldn't hold you for too long, the two of you locked eyes on occasion and we could see you taking in the new person that was holding you. I suspect you are getting pretty used to being passed around from one set of arms to the next because of all the visitors, but you are a whole lot of love Naomi :). What better thing to pass around than that.
We thank Liuba and Kat for making the trip to see us all here. We know it's not an easy journey for Great Grandma Liuba but these kind of memories are worth it.

Dear Naomi,
You are so loved that you have people from across the world hopping on a plane and coming to see you literally over night! Your Grand Aunt Ira flew in so she could get a chance to hold you as you are......a precious little thing.
We thank Ira for not only making such a long journey to meet you, but also for giving so much love while here. She held you, sang to you, bounced with you, and was everything you would expect a Grand Aunt to be.....wonderful :)

Happy 1 Month!
Dear Naomi,
I suppose I'll never really get used to how quickly the time passes. You've reached your first month as of today, literally in the blink of an eye. One whole month.
In this first month, we've learned many different sounds that you make. We've seen many different facial expressions.....all of which are my favorite :). We've learned about your different moods and seen you explore the world around you with your big, beautiful eyes. We've seen you express excitement and joy, as well as frustration, but what matters most of all is that we've been with you each step of the way to share in all of your first precious moments of life. I hope that we have been good care givers to you and that we have made you feel safe and loved. And although we can officially put the first month behind us, we can't wait for the lifetime of months that we are yet to share.
