Watching movies with you!

It will be even more special when we watch the movies I worked on :)  So many movies inspired me when I was a child and I can't wait to see them inspire you too!

Dear Baby,

I can't wait for you to meet your two siblings that will be waiting to greet you with lots of licks and cuddles....But don't worry, I'll make sure they are gentle.  So with that said, I made a quick video for you featuring none other than Olive and Mr. Q.  They'll be waiting!

The stroller dillema

 

Dear Baby,

If only you could see how much fun I am having reviewing all the gear that we will need to make you feel right at home.  My current project - strollers!  Amongst the many, I have narrowed it down to the Bugaboo, OrbitBaby, and Bob.  Wish I could read your mind to know what you would prefer, but I guess when you picture all the wonderful places we'll see together, I can promise you that you will be cozy, safe and riding in style :).  I look forward to our walks in the park with you Mom and putting the coffee holder to use while the shocks of your stroller gently absorb the pavement and the rain shield you will have protects you from the light drizzle.  Okay, maybe no drizzle since I doubt we will take you out in the rain, but you get the idea.  Fun, fun, fun.

The hearbeat

Dear Baby,

What an amazing feeling this was!

Unfortunately, the volume was lost during recording for some reason, but basically this is the Doctor showing us for the first time your heartbeat. Would of been nice for you to hear the Doc's description :(, but I guess the visual will have to do.  This was our first glimpse of your life in motion.

Am I supposed to be here

Dear Wife,

So as I entered the room with you for the first time, you sat me in the corner next to the bed, and I couldn't help but feel like I was the boy in trouble for picking on the girl (I was maybe guilty of that in the second grade). I looked around, noticing all of the tools and gadgets, the struts on the bed and the monitor next to us. Some of the stuff was pretty scary looking and you just chuckled at the look on my face. I remember saying out loud to you, "Am I supposed to be here?". You just laughed and reassured me. The doctor came in and introduced herself to me.  All the time, you're the one that has to sit on the table/contraption that looks like something out of a torture chamber, but yet I'm the one looking for comfort?  Thanks for being the trooper you are.

Telling Grandma

Dear Baby,

We couldn't wait to tell our loved ones about you and I have to admit I was a bit nervous to tell your Great Grandmother because it was such a big moment for us.  I didn't have anything in particular planned, all I knew was that I wanted it to be on camera.  So I set up the camera, and just started asking her questions.  What followed was pure joy and hysteria as Grandma Luiba showed her undeniable joy and excitement at the news that you were on your way.  Your Mom, Great Auntie Livia, and your cousin Ashley were all there to share in this moment.  The little ones Olive & Mr. Q were also there adding to the laughter and tears that were shared for you.
